Venus the planet of love moves into the Earthy sign of Virgo today! As a sign that favors beauty, commitment, dedication and perfectionism, we will be upfront and honest about the things that matter to us in regards to love. We will also look to improve or refine our relationships with those around us- however the shadow side of this has the potential to add pressure or strain as we push our own ideals or levels of perfection upon those we love. As such, it is important to practice patience and allow for spontaneity if and when running into conflict or differences, after all this openness can help you welcome things outside of the plan and even allow your heart to receive surprises/miracles!

Considering this, this Gemini season we can expect:

​Tonight's new moon in Taurus is one day before my own solar welcoming home (or birthday hehe)! I am beyond blessed, excited and grateful to celebrate my 24th year around the sun so full of love- for my life, myself, and those around me! And although this year was a hard one that brought me to my knees and more tears than my cancer cry baby moon & I could count, I am so happy to be here with all of you. And, I hope you are too! 🦋

With that, tonight's new moon in Taurus is a powerful time to get clear with what you want your life to look like in matters related to your home, body, comfort, career, and love! With anything, in order to make room for something new, you often have to let go of the things, people, and places that block you from receiving this clear channel of divine love, flow, and alignment! As such, I am proud of you for making it today and being brave enough to step into the unknown and letting go of the things that no longer serve you! Trust that you will be rewarded for this- and that better is coming- if it hasn't already began to come hehe ;) And remember, believing in yourself (truly and fully) is half the battle! So do that, and you're already half way there!

Taurus New Moon Ritual

1. Ground- spend some time with mama Earth today (after all it is Taurus season, an earth sign, and tonight's new moon is in Taurus), put your bare feet on the ground, roll your windows down, soak up the sun rays, hug a tree-Whatever makes you feel-connected.
2. Cleanse- You can do this through sound, visualization, light, bathing, smoke (palo santo, sage- be sure to shop sustainably and locally if possible)
3. Dance, sweat, move, shake your body! Let loose. Get out of your head and into your body. Swing your arms around. Remember your body is your home. Take care of it as such.
4. Journal/Meditate- Take the time and space to allow your soul and heart to speak. What does it have to say? See the column to the right for some journaling prompt ideas →
5. Set intentions. Now that you have journaled and gotten clear on what you want and wish for- what inspired action can you take to get this energy and momentum moving?  Look right for mine →
6. Self-love. End the day/night doing things you love best! Whether that is hanging out with friends, watching a favorite show, massaging your body with oils, making yummy food, relaxing, the whole works. After all, it is Taurus season, and Taurus adore self-care and luxury! 
7. Trust. Know you nothing that is in alignment with you can be passed. You attract everything you need in divine timing, after all, you are divine timing.  
8. Have fun! Remember to have fun on the way to achieving and receiving all of your dreams! Make space for play, mistakes, and chaos! After all, you never know what you might create or stumble upon the way!

Happy May! Welcome to my birthday month and favorite time of year! The end of spring and beginning of summer to me represents a time of both happiness and excitement, a time to enjoy the fruits of your labor and truly slow down, savor the love and life you have created thus far, while also planting seeds with loving patience and trust towards the growth you cannot always see on the surface!
So, enjoy it! Create spaces and time for you to connect with and create with the things you love most in this life - you deserve it!
