October 2021 Astrological Overview

​Happy Spooky Season babies!
+ Welcome to the magic of October!

I hope you are all feeling the magical and balanced energies of Libra upon us and are honoring all parts of yourself, both shadow and light during this time!

After all, we are already in the midst of the latter part of the year, where we all collectively begin our descent into the deeper and darker parts of our subconscious and conscious minds. And much like myth reflects reality and nature reflects humanity we too can learn from the myth and story of Persephone, Demeter and Hades. During this time, Persephone, goddess of spring, makes her way into the underworld to meet her divine counterpart and god of the underworld, Hades. And much like her, we too can realize and recognize that change can often bring more love + greater light into our world! Furthermore, we can also learn from Demeter, goddess of harvest and Persphone’s mother who had to learn that letting go allows people to grow and that the distance between you only makes you appreciate the time you do spend together all the more. With that, this time is a time for us to face our shadows and feelings with bravery, kindness and love!

Finally, October also marks the time of the year when the veil grows ever thinner, and our ancestors and guides are able to more readily communicate and show themselves to us! As such, be sure to spend some time with them, leave them offerings and give thanks for all that they do for you in the spirit realm.

Themes for this October include:
Balance, ancestors, spirit realm, subconscious and conscious healing, flow, shadow work, light work, acceptance, compassion, patience, trust, and love!

Mantras for the month are:
I am a divine being of light, my shadows show me where I can show myself more love and acceptance!

My shadows are what allow me to shine all the brighter while also learning to lean into my human experience.

When I embrace both my divinity and my humanity, I set myself free.
