Mercury, the planet of communication and processing of thoughts moves into Sagittarius today, November 24th. This follows after the sun, the planet that rules energy, ego and our sense of self also moved into Sagittarius on the 22nd (aka we’re right at the beginning of Sagittarius season). 

What this means for all of us is that Sag energy will be running prevalent both within ourselves and with the people around us! Not only will we be feeling more fiery, focused, dreamy and confident within ourselves- we will also be expressing ourselves as such too! 

With that, like always, I will be covering the light and shadow side of of the astrological transit + If you are someone’s who’s natal Mercury is in Sagittarius- this will apply and be felt all the more!  (you can find this out by looking up your birth chart which will tell you what signs all the planets were in when you were born)

Light​

• Since Sagittarius is a fire sign, ruled by the planet of Jupiter which governs our higher self + intelligence, we will be quick to share our intellect, passions, and pursuits in conversations! Conversations will literally take on a brighter more dynamic energy and will be filled with new and exciting information! 
• Sagittarius are not afraid to stand out or go for things. Like the archer that represents their sign, they strike with concentrated and deadly focus- as such, thoughts and communication will be very clear- up front and to the point! 
• Like the element they are represented by, they light up the world with humor, honesty and hope! With that, be sure to share your feelings and thoughts with others, you never know what might light a spark that continues to keep on spreading! 
• Since Mercury also rules how we take in information, this will be a dreamy time to think positively and dream big! After all, Sagittarius are always aiming outward, and up! 

Following an emotional, deep + dark Scorpio season (Oct 23-Nov 21st), a time of great release, reflection and redirection, Sagittarius arises. And much like the fire it is ruled by- we too rise - more wild, focused, light, brilliant and free. 

Represented by the archer, and the only zodiac with a weapon or tool in hand, Sagittarius reminds us to step into our inherent skills, determination and independence while also using the resources readily available to us. After all, an archer is no archer without a bow, the wood that makes it, and person who crafts the bow! So with that, during this time, be sure to take some time to reflect + ask yourself: how can I maximize or further my individual talents while also honoring the talents of others? What is it that I can create and do using the resources available to me now? Where do I see myself going or reaching towards in my mind’s eye?

Ultimately, by taking the time to tune in, understand the shadow and light both within and without, you give yourself the ability to move towards all you wish for with great focus, awareness and clarity!

Light side of Sagittarius season: 

• You may notice you are quick to speak up and use your leadership qualities this season- after all, Sagittarius is a sign that is not afraid to step up, stand out or go for what they see! 
• Dream big! Reach for and aim for the stars! Since the archer archetype will be heavily prevalent during this season, we too will be looking forward and upward - releasing all that is no longer serving us in the dust and allowing us to focus on mindful and precise actions that will take us to our ultimate target(s) or goal(s).
• The fiery and focused energy of this season will help us truly let go of anything not serving us! For much like nature, the die off and the frost during November, we too can choose to see what is serving us and what we can truly let go of once and for all! 
• As a sign ruled by Jupiter, a planet highly linked to spirituality and higher consciousness- you may find yourself connecting to the spirit within and around you in new and exciting ways! Be open to the way the universe uniquely speaks to you- and be brave enough to accept and embrace its guidance! 

Shadow side of Sagittarius Season: 

• Your emotions may sometimes be volatile or extreme- fire like water can sometimes be unpredictable or quick to react - so be sure to slow down, feel your feelings then use them to guide you to a higher more aligned response! Like the dynamics of a bow, just because you feel the tension and power behind something, doesn’t mean you have to let it go right away, by being comfortable with the tension and trusting that you have the strength to wield it- you get to choose where it goes and what that looks like- it just takes practice! 
• As mentioned before, Sagittarius are big dreamers- as such, be sure to back your wildest wishes with accountability and responsibility! Don’t just talk the talk, walk the walk. Things do not manifest simply by itself, you are the receiver, the bridge who must reach toward and ground this energy into physical reality! 
• Be sure to soften towards yourself and others. Although intellect and logic is a major trait of Sagittarius, it does not always help all situations. Allow yourself to be human and use your intuition and higher self to make loving decisions! 
• Lastly, with the fire element strong during this time, be sure that you don’t burn yourself out too quickly- slow and steady wins the race in the seasons of life- and there is no need to become a wildfire for every situation! Choose to control your power, flame and energy- don’t let it overpower or rule you!

Elysian on Earth

When you envision your dream life and home what does that look like? Feel like? Smell like? When you think about how you want to spend your time and fill your senses- do you make time to prioritize the experiences that you like? Would you say you are choosing things, people and places that align with the future you are creating? What is it that makes earth feel like home to you + what is it that you want to create with your life?

These are all soul deep questions that tonight’s Taurus full moon lunar eclipse 🌙 may be bringing up for you! + pro tip: If any of them particularly resonate- it may be a good idea to follow the call and explore your answer further through meditation or journaling! + Since tonight’s moon is in an Earth sign- it is a fantastic time to connect with your inner being- and discover what dreams, desires and feelings are asking to be tended to and birthed now. You may also find yourself uncovering something that has come up to be lovingly and tenderly felt and then released - whether that is through yoga, dance, words, writing, or simply just feeling it. After all the more you release [fear, control, anxiety or stress over the past or even the future] to the flow of the universe and focus on leaning into the things that make you feel good now (yoga, music, nature) the more you realize, recognize and feel just how supported, guided and loved you are.

When Venus is in the Earthly sign of Capricorn, we can expect love to be more balanced, up front, and analyzed. As a sign that prizes longevity, and creations that come from hard work and discipline, relationships will be highly looked at in relation to how much it supports you and you will find yourself asking: Does this relationship align with my future endeavors and goals? Does this relationship help me better my relationship with self and others? What do I want my relationships to look like and feel like? How can I help shift or transmute my energy to better serve my relationships?

These questions will arise because Capricorn energy is often associated with the word “serious” which means being up front about what you expect from a relationship and how to best nurture or create the ones you want!

Another word highly associated with Capricorn energy to keep in mind during this time are “ambition or determination”. During this time, people will be putting in their all when it comes to love. What they see, believe in and feel to be true, will be matched by their actions that they take to manifest and create their vision or desires, into life!

With that, I hope you take this time (Nov 5th, 2021- March 6th, 2022) to get clear on what relationships mean to you, how your relationships (both platonic, career or personal) are going, and how you can best let go of or align to energies and relationships that support you and where you see yourself going!

With Mercury the planet of communication being in the sign of Scorpio (Nov 5th-Nov 24th) we may find ourselves being more patient, psychic, inquisitive, or intense in our communication with others. Since Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, the planet that oversees death, transformation, taboo, or anything dark or secret, we may find ourselves more likely to talk or share about these topics.

​After all, Scorpio recognizes that how one sees one’s darkness, can tell you a lot about a person’s light.
During this time, we may find our conversations to be more meaningful and deep (Scorpio is a water sign) and they are unafraid to dive deep into their darker or more unknown waters! However, one thing to be aware of with Scoprio being a water sign, is to not allow the darkness to consume you and your light, and to step back from emotions that may also sometimes cloud your clarity! Keeping this in mind will keep paranoia, fears or worst case scenario thinking at bay! While it is okay to feel it, remember you also have the power to gain control, transmute energy, and choose how you would like to feel, speak up or be!

Finally, with Scoprio being a sign that has strong themes of transformation, important questions to ask yourself during this time are: How can I better show up in my communication towards myself or others? What can I transmute, change, or let go of? What parts of myself do I hide from others? Why do I do this? How can I speak more kindly to others, or even myself?

Happy New moon in Scorpio friends! Tonight the moon shines with the magic of new beginnings, transformation and greater understanding, depth and clarity!

After all, the magic of Scorpio as a water sign highlights embracing even the darkest parts of your waters, the parts that others or even yourself may find hard to navigate, and the realization that this dance shows you to your greatest magic. As a sign also represented by the Scorpion, Scorpios are decisive + fierce. They understand the steps and precision needed to move through life and get themselves through the darkness without becoming it- similarly, you may be finding greater clarity of what habits, experiences you want to pour into and which ones you would like to let go of.

​Elysian on Earth

​Welcome to the magical new month of November! As we progress toward the end of the year, we can begin to look back on the past with love, compassion and most importantly, gratitude. With only 2 months left until 2022 (which I find crazy) we can begin to honestly look upon the past 11 months to celebrate our growth, the lessons learned, and all of the memories we have gathered to be here now! I for one am beginning to journal my days more often so that I can reflect on and celebrate the moments that made 2021 The new experiences, the day to day, the world events, and the collective lessons learned! After all, we will one day be the ancestors that paved the way for those to come- and I would love for my future family members or any person for that matter to have a personal idea of what it may have been like to live and be here now- after all, it is pretty special and we will never all have another 2021!
