The Winter Solstice

From the intimate, vulnerable and raw place- found in the center of the darkness- we understand and see ourselves, the way, and the duality and marriage of the light and dark most clearly. For like a flower planted in the depths and darkness of earth, we realize the seed of creation, and sweetest hope can be planted within the depths of the dreamings of the night. For just like seeds, it takes faith, trust, timing, patience, love and the right environment for all to bloom. After all, no seed can grow underneath the shining sun year round, balance is crucial, and the dark is as integral to our growth as the light. In knowing this, it is up to us, to create a safe space to nurture and protect any new, tender, and vulnerable realizations and wishes that come through. It is up to us to create space  for the small, but resilient spark of light within us to grow and it is up to us to make choices that best support it on its way. For in nurturing and loving this sacredness and sanctity within us with reverence and devotion- we create a warmer, more beautiful and magical place for all things to live in, be in, and thrive in. 

Further more, from this point on, as the days grow longer, and the nights become shorter, the sun rises- taking up space in the sky and our being, bringing with it, increased energy levels, clarity, and warmth. Like a divine and sacred father, it covers us all in its unfailing, supportive and all encompassing light- giving us direction, discipline, and structure so that we may continue to grow, stimulated and nurtured by its presence. Similarly, all of the lessons learned in the last few months since the Fall equinox to now (when the power of the moon rises and the sun gradually begins to disappear), will show up in the work and energy we put out into the world. For the time spent tending to and understanding the depths of our shadows and subconscious can now be faced, integrated and alchemized in the power of our ever growing knowledge, knowing, and light.

Finally, with the Winter Solstice taking place the day before the start of Capricorn season- a season represented by the sea goat- part water- part sea- part feminine- part masculine-part shadow- part light - part heaven- the part hell- honor and combine the powers of your duality. Know that both coming together in their highest forms- makes you a more capable, aware, sensitive, strong, and resilient being. From this place of divine union within- you give the gift of greater balance, awareness, and love - to yourself, others, and the entire world showing how the marriage of two seemingly opposing sides-coming together as one- achieves and creates far greater than one ever would alone. 

With that, may tonight be a time of magic, sweet belief, and divine connection- and may the way forward be one of sacred union, pleasure, and bliss for your mind, body, spirit and soul- in every dimension, and in every way.
